What does dealer mode do?
Activating dealer mode switches the ECU into a diagnostic state that displays fault codes and sensor data directly on the instrument cluster LCD. With this tool installed you can:
- Read current and stored FI error codes from the ECU
- Adjust and verify the Throttle Position Sensor (TPS)
- Troubleshoot fuel injection and sensor faults without a dealer visit
- Reset ISC (Idle Speed Control) valve on applicable models
- Monitor coolant temperature, intake air temperature and atmospheric pressure sensor outputs
Why use this instead of a paperclip?
The diagnostic connector is a precision component. Repeated use with improvised tools risks bending pins or causing accidental short circuits — a common mistake that blows the 10A ignition fuse. This tool seats cleanly, stays in place, and uses a proper on/off switch so you control exactly when dealer mode is active.
