Pattern equivalent of Suzuki OEM part number 09930-83130. Plugs directly into the red six-pin diagnostic connector found on Suzuki fuel-injected models from 2020 onwards. This is the Gen 3 connector — physically different from the earlier white six-pin plug used on 2004–2019 models.
What does dealer mode do?
The Gen 3 dealer mode switch provides full ECU diagnostic access and — crucially — is the correct tool for resetting the service interval reminder light on 2020+ models. Without this tool the only way to reset the service light is a dealer visit. With this tool installed you can:
- Reset the service interval reminder light yourself after every service
- Read current and stored FI error codes from the ECU
- Adjust and verify the Throttle Position Sensor (TPS)
- Access the service menu to clear fault codes
- Troubleshoot fuel injection and sensor faults without a dealer visit
Service interval reset — step by step
On 2020+ models the wrench icon / service reminder cannot be cleared from the instrument cluster alone. Using this tool:
- Plug the switch into the red diagnostic connector under the passenger seat
- Turn the ignition on
- Activate dealer mode using the switch
- Navigate to the service interval reset function in the service menu
- Reset and turn off — done
Note: full reset procedure is detailed in your model's service manual. Inserting a paper clip into the wrong pins is a common mistake that blows the 10A ignition fuse — use the correct tool.
